Software Engineer, AI-Native

About the role

Our clients increasingly want software that does more than store and display information: it drafts, classifies, searches, summarizes and automates. As an AI-native engineer you’ll build full-stack web products for those clients, integrate large language models where they genuinely help, and use AI tools every day to ship faster without lowering the bar on quality.

What you’ll do

Build full-stack features for client web applications and platforms using React, TypeScript and Node.js.
Design and ship AI features with LLM APIs: retrieval over business data, structured extraction, tool calling and AI-assisted workflows.
Evaluate AI features properly, with test sets, guardrails, fallbacks and cost and latency budgets, so they behave predictably in production.
Use AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow, and help the team adopt practices that keep quality high.
Work closely with designers to get loading, error and empty states right, not just the ideal screen.
Write tests, review code, deploy to cloud platforms and support what you ship after launch.
Join client conversations to clarify requirements and explain technical trade-offs in plain language.

What you’ll bring

2+ years building and shipping production web software.
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, with React and Node.js experience.
Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (for example OpenAI or Anthropic) beyond simple prompts.
Good judgement about when AI improves a product and when a simpler solution is better.
Clear written communication in English and comfort working remotely with some overlap across time zones.

Nice to have

Python, or experience with vector databases and retrieval pipelines.
Mobile experience with React Native or Flutter.
Experience in an agency or client-services environment.
